31 Jan Don’t leave your clients and prospects hanging
I look at probably hundreds of insurance brokerages websties every week when dealing with prospective clients. One of the most glaring shortfalls that I see time and again is that every website has a blog section, but when you click through updates are sporadic at best.
Maybe the broker will post a flurry for a week and then disappear for four months.
Ask yourself this: How do you think that makes you look? To prospective clients it could be an indication of how attentive you will be to their needs.
I know most agents and brokers don’t have time to work on their blogs and even when they commit themselves to updating it, they fall short and eventually forget about it.
You can try rotating the duties among your producers. But even so, most people would rather go to the dentist than have to sit down and write an insightful blog based on their experience and know how.
If you can’t find the time or just hate writing, you should hire someone or a company with expertise to do it for you.
Risk Media Solutions will manage your blog for $100 a month. We have writers who have written about the insurance industry for more than 25 years. They are experts on the subject but have the added skill to make it understandable for laymen and women.
